At Voyaguer, we believe that each student has unique gifts, talents
and interests. We offer a wide variety of extracurricular clubs and
activities to allow students to develop their gifts and talents and to
explore areas of interest to them. Whether they are performing on stage
in the school talent show or multi-cultural celebration, participating
in their favorite sport, or filling shoe boxes for needy children across
the globe, Voyaguer students can almost always find a club or
activity that matches their interests. If the club or activity doesn't
exist, students can, as they have in the past, start their own
activities. Participation in clubs and activities allows students to
meet each other and form lasting friendships and earns then Enrichment Credit. Enrichment Credit is required to be promoted, but more importantly, is what makes our students stand out when they apply to college.

Student Council
Student Council
is now in its fourth year of operation at Voyageur. The current
membership of 15 students includes members from each high school grade
level. Members are expected to maintain a minimum grade point average of
3.25, come to school dressed in uniform, exemplify good behavior,
citizenship and attendance, and be a positive role model.
Recent Student Council activities include the Motor City Kids Book Drive,
reading to children outside of the school, picking up trash around
Consortium, a Thanksgiving canned food drive and operating the "Snack
Shack" every lunch period of every day. In addition to learning how a
small business operates, Student Council members have managed to donate
over six thousand dollars in profit to various causes in and around the
school for each of the past two years. We are proud of the hard work
and commitment these dedicated students have shown!
For
more information about joining the VCP Student Council, please
contact the main office. Also feel free to contact us if you have a worthy
cause for Student Council to consider for this year.
